The girls and I met some friends at the park and I was so happy that we went a bit earlier than everyone else. I got some great pictures and had some much needed fun with my babies! Alexie is such a BIG girl and she is so proud of herself because she can pump her legs and swing all by herself! (She may have had a little help getting this high)
Deut. 6:4-7
"Listen, Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is One. Love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. These words that I am giving you today are to be in your heart. Repeat them to your children. Talk about them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

Flower Girl
Here is Alexie all dressed up for Dan and Heather's wedding. She was such a pretty flower girl and took her job very seriously. She was perfect as she walked down the aisle slowly, smiling, and droping her flower petals. Then she was peferct going back down the aisle, picking her flower petals back up and placing them back in her basket. What a cutie!!!

Moments in Life
I have realized this several times in my life, but more and more as I get older; the little, special moments in life are what make all of the craziness and the sadness worth it. I want to be one of those people that choose a smile and happiness over my bad day. I want to choose hope and faith in God over whatever it is the world throws at me. This past 2 weeks have been hard for me. A friend lost her husband in war, she is the same age as me, same ages of children, and my heart breaks for her. I had a wonderful and awful weekend with my family. We celebrated a beautiful union between 2 people, but all at the same time, old wounds were made fresh and new ones were created, one's that will not heal easily. Then, all of this, and a massacre happens within miles of us and changes the lives of hundreds of people. Life is precious and the moments are so important. They make the pain worth it. I still wait for the day that there is no pain, but for now, I just pray that some good comes of it.
